Tips to improve your small business

1.Utilise technologies:

Modern techs can save your time and give you edge over other competitors. Use of Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ will be easy to reach large number of people. Dropbox or Google Drive can save your data in cloud so you don’t have to worry about losing your important data when PC crashes.

2. Becoming innovative:

Though you are innovative in your business, there is always room for improvement. Do some brainstorming session and invite your staff to join in. Different opinions help you take better decisions.

3. Communicate well:

Take friendly but professional approach to customers. Try to simplify language so that customers can understand what you are selling. Reply to messages/emails as soon as possible. If you take long time to reply, then return a call or text them when you get free.

4. Tighten your credit policies:

For any orders, make sure your customer completes a credit application and that they understand your terms of trade. Encourage your customers to clear payments quickly by emailing or posting invoices and giving clients a clear time frame to pay. Revisit your terms of trade and make any necessary changes if required.

5. Keeping records:

Create a file and bring your old furniture in use for storage purposes. If you are selling products/services, invoice your customers and file the invoices. Same goes for buying products/services. Remember successful small business never goes in trouble with the IRD if it has proper record keeping.
